For 2009, the Beehive gave away $23,000 to two organizations – Raleigh/Wake Partnership to End and Prevent Homelessness, and Community Success Initiative. Both organizations focus on helping people transition from homelessness or poverty to economic stability.

CSI used Beehive funds to develop a training program to match formerly incarcerated mothers with mentors, and training and development opportunities. Participants were helped with job skills, finding employment and budgeting.
