Raleigh/Wake Partnership to end and prevent homelessness
For 2009, the Beehive gave away $23,000 to two organizations – Raleigh/Wake Partnership to End and Prevent Homelessness, and Community Success Initiative. Both organizations focus on helping people transition from homelessness or poverty to economic stability.
The Partnership to End and Prevent Homelessness used Beehive funds to help four families find and maintain permanent housing with the support of faith-based congregation mentors. The model for the program, called Support Circles, won national recognition for helping people maintain housing.
